Magenta Southwest Thanks You's - Cartes de remerciement style Southwest

Hi everyone, Ginny here. Today, I needed to make a batch of thank you's for friends out west. This batch I made with a southwestern theme.

I love Native American Pottery. I have a few lovely wood mounted rubber stamps with pottery designs.  This beautiful 3 Pots stamp is a large stamp and perfect as a focal point.

When I am making cards, I prefer using singular focal images, as I have never had much success at building small images for card making.

One of my favorite techniques is heat embossing on patterned paper and then fussy cutting. Here I used one of my favourite patterned papers in southwestern colours. Professional designers create beautiful papers, I am all for using them as much as possible! They make me look good!

Ils me font bien paraître!

I picked out layers and bases.
The card base is a Strathmore textured deckle edge, this paper is the colour of stucco and another favourite!

Stamped on craft and cut.

Etampé sur du carton Kraft et découpé.

Back ground through the crimper (yes, I still use mine)!

Simple!

and completely mail-able
These cards are 6.5x4.75".

I have also used this stamp to make great book marks.

This is a really fun technique, so worth trying!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!!

What a great idea using patterned paper! Such a time saver and it looks great too. Brilliant. Definitely adding that to my memory bank. Need to dust off my crimper now as well!

Great tutorial -- I have lots of hoarded patterned paper that could be used for this technique. Also great to see your use of a "classic" stamp and tool.
