Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi everyone, I'm on a Christmas card run as I can see Christmas looming up and I won't have enough cards for mailing and donating to a charity fundraiser. So, I wanted to make a few CAS cards that I could reproduce quickly.
This is a One Layer Card which I first stamped the background script on a bunch of square cards in Distress Oxide ink. I then stamped the holly branch. I left the holly branch stamp in place on my stamp positioner while I coloured the leaves and the berries. When I want to put a card back into the positioner to re stamp an image I always choose one of the corners to align the card. That way I reduce the risk of card shift. After colouring the image with pencils, I restamped the outline to give the image a crisper edge where I had used the pencils. I added a clear glaze to the berries, stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturn and added a few sequins to add a little sparkle.

  1. Beautiful card Christine. Thanks for the tips on how to re-stamp the holly after colouring. Great card design for making multiples!

  2. Simply Beautiful Holly and script Christmas card, Christine. I love how you colored the stamped holly with pencils and then restamped the holly for a sharper image. I agree, a wonderful design to make duplicates :-) TFS my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy

  5. The script stamping makes a perfect backdrop for the pretty holly sprig and the sentiment, Christine! The shine of the berries and the sparkle of the sequins are so pretty!
