Hi everyone, I'm here with a Quick CAS card which could be used for lots of different occasions. I chose "thank you" but would also be great for a birthday and thinking of you cards.
I made my own circle stencil by die cutting acetate with one of my circle dies. I taped it to the card and blended a mix of very light distress oxide inks around the edge. When I was happy with the colour I removed the stencil and stamped the little flowers around the edge of the circle. To add the leaves I made a mask of the flower and covered the flower each time I stamped the leaf. I coloured the flowers and leaves with pencils and used a white Posca pen to go over the pencil colouring. By doing this the blended circle becomes less noticeable underneath. I used a yellow sparkly Posca pen for the centre of the flowers.

Such a perfect CAS card! Love the semi-circle of little flowers around the soft shaded circle. The Posca white pen really does cover up the circle under the flowers.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card Christine! The colour of your blended circle is perfect with the blooms --- they look like dogwood flowers to me. :) Fabulous layout and design ... perfectly CAS too!
ReplyDeleteI love how these pretty flowers form a partial wreath around your masked circle! Beautiful colors in these blooms!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and CAS-tastic. Fab design.
