Hi everyone, I have a quick brayered card with a warm summer scene as we begin winter.
On coated card brayered some warm colour at the top and a misty blue on the bottom. For those that have never used coated card it gives a wonderful smooth effect with the brayer.
I then stamped the bare tree and the thistle heads, the thistle giving a hint of depth to the card. I created the sun using a stencil to mark the circle and used a yellow posca glitter pen to add some shimmer to the sun. I used my finger to smudge the glittery acrylic pen over the area.
I used some pan pastels in white and a few shades of blue smudged across the sky to give the effect of clouds.

Beautiful summery sky, Christine. I had never thought of brayering on coated card stock ... what a great idea to create the smooth colours for your background. The pan pastels add some lovely contrast to your sky and sun. Beautiful card!
