Miranda here with a creation looking like it is Spring........well officially it is but the weather is thinking otherwise......on the other hand the birds definitely know!

Again in one of my favorite techniques using Nuance pigment powders and a mask stencil. I really love this stencil.

This time not much fancy coloring but just stamping and adding a bit of interest with a hint of pencil.....

Only adding the beautiful poem ' Irish blessings quote'.

Super Saturday with Bianca - Super samedi avec Bianca

Les Trésors du Mercredi avec Carole / Wednesday's Treasure with Carole

 Sur du papier aquarelle travaillé avec les poudres Nuance, j'ai étampé et embossé les fleurs au centre de mon projet, J'ai créé un masque pour cacher le premier groupe de fleurs et étampé les autres pour créé de la dimension. Le groupe de fleur central a été décoloré avec de l'eau de javel avant d'effectuer la mise en couleur. Le pochoir texture de brique, que j'ai créé pour Magenta  a été ajouté avec de l'encre Distress. Sur les fonds de Nuance plus foncé, je préfère décolorer les motif pour donner de la lumièere a mes projets.

L'ensemble du matériel que j'ai utilisé pour cette céation.

Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi Everyone, it's Christine here with a Spring Easter themed card. 

I used Nuance water colour sprays on hot press water colour card stock for my background and stamped my images and coloured them with watercoloured and pencils.

I mixed Nuance powders with water in a spray bottle and sprayed the watercolour card stock randomly with the green and blue. Once if was dry I stamped the little bunny removed the background colour with bleach and when it was dry I watercoloured the image and re stamped when I was happy with the colouring. 

I then masked the bunny and stamped the blossom branch and the flock of geese. Again I removed the colour from the images using bleach let it dry and coloured the images with watercolour and pencils to add shading. I put the card stock back in my MISTI and re-stamped my flowers to give it more definition. 

I forgot to replace the mask on the bunny when I re stamped the branch so had to add a little more pencil colouring to hid the stamp lines 😞

Simplement étampé en noir sur papier beige. Petit truc pour les très grosses étampes au motif très détaillé, comme celle-ci: utiliser un rouleau encreur pour encrer partout uniformément… et donner également une pression uniforme – quitte à mettre le papier par terre, l’étampe, puis se tenir debout dessus!

Autre truc: privilégier les encres fines (dye) plutôt que les pigments qui ont tendance à boucher les détails.

Assurez-vous également de choisir un papier cartonné très lisse.

Simply stamped in black on beige cardstock.

A little tip for very large stamps with a detailed pattern, like this one: use a brayer to apply ink all over evenly... and also give uniform pressure – you may even put the paper on the ground, the stamp over it and then stand on it!

Another tip: focus on dye inks rather than pigments which tend to block details.

Also make sure to stamp on a smooth cardstock.

Super Saturday with Pam – Super Samedis avec Pam

Welcome back to Super Saturday.  I love this Irish Blessings quote and since my post is close to St. Patrick’s Day, it seemed like a good time to use it on a card.

Start by stamping “Lonely Landscape” on a piece of white cardstock.  I’ve had this stamp for a long time so first I had to remove it from the wood block so I could use it in my stamping tool, which I needed to use for this technique.  I colored the image with my Pan Pastels.  You could just as easily use color pencils, chalks, markers or another medium but I haven’t used my Pan Pastels in a while and thought it would be fun to work with them again.  If you aren’t familiar with Pan Pastels, they are pastel powders in a cake form that you apply with sponges or other tools.  The colors are very rich and they are fun to work with.  After I finished coloring, I returned the image to my stamping tool, stamped with VersaMark ink, then embossed with gold embossing powder.  I cut out the image around the outer lines, then also cut out a piece of fun foam that was slightly smaller and adhered it to the back of the image.  I adhered this to a scrap piece of background paper I had previously created with green Nuance powders. 

Next, I stamped “Buds & Flourishes” randomly around the edges of a piece of Kraft cardstock with VersaMark ink.  I lightly applied gold Pan Pastel powder on top of the ink using a tapping motion, rather than a rubbing motion.  If you rub the powder into the stamped image, the ink will smear, but if you tap the powder on, you are pushing the powder into the ink without smearing it.  I positioned the “Irish Quote” sentiment on the right side and stamped with black ink.  Next, I trimmed the image to 3 ½” by 4 ¾” and then cut a slightly larger piece of dark green cardstock. 

For the final step, I stamped “Buds & Flourishes” randomly around the edges of an A2 card and then tapped gold Pan Pastel on top.  Before assembling the card, I sprayed each stamped image with a fixative to prevent the Pan Pastels from smearing.  I set the images aside to dry, which didn’t take long, then assembled the card.

Added some gears which are the base for the little robins. For the text I only used the English part of the multilingual stamp

Sur du papier aquarelle travaillé avec les poudres Nuance, j'ai utilisé mon pochoir créé pour Magenta avec de l'eau de javel et une éponge, Une fois cette étape terminée et le papier bien séché, j'ai étampé le lapin. Pour effectuée la mise en couleur du petit animal, j'ai pris soin de décolorer la surface avec de l'eau de javel avant l'application de la couleur ; pastel Neocolor en combinaison avec les marqueurs Tombow. J'ai étampé plusieurs branches mais embossé une seul de celle-ci. Pour conclure mon projet, quelques traits de marqueur blanc permanent a été ajouté.

L'ensemble du matériel que j'ai utilisé pour cette création.
