Les Trésors du mercredi avec Carole / Wednesday's Treasure with Carole

Pour le mois de la St-Valentin, j'ai créé une étiquette avec du carton ondulé, recyclé.. J'ai couvert la surface du carton de Gesso, j'ai laissé sécher complètement. À l'aide du petit pochoir Coeur en fête et de la pâte de texture, j'ai créé un relief avec une bonne épaisseur de pâte. J'ai effectué la mise en couleur avec les pastels Neocolor en combinaison avec les marqueurs Tombow. Une fois la couleur du cœur terminé, j'ai appliqué du gel scintillant rouge pour combler la forme du cœur. Par la suite, j'ai ajouté les mêmes couleurs utilisées pour le cœur autour de l'étiquette pour un rappel des couleurs. J'ai enduit le cœur de Glossy Accent pour ajouter de la brillance et de la lumière à mon projet.

For the month of Valentine's Day, I created a tag with recycled, corrugated cardboard. I covered the surface of the cardboard with Gesso and let it dry completely. Using the little Celebrate Heart stencil and texture paste, I created a relief with a good thickness of paste. I did the coloring with Neocolor pastels in combination with Tombow markers. Once I finished coloring the heart, I applied red glitter gel to fill out the shape of the heart. Subsequently, I added the same colors used in the heart around the tag to tie it all together. I used Glossy Accents on the heart to add shine and light to my project.

Halloween avec carton ondulé - Halloween on corrugated cardboard

   

Sur du carton ondulé recouvert de gesso, j'ai étampé et embossé le chat. J'ai travaillé le contour du motif avec les pastels Neocolor et ensuite j'ai ajouté de la texture à l'aide de mon pochoir vague. J'ai aussi ajouté de la couleur sur le chat avec les pastels Neocolor pour créer un effet de profondeur et de dimension. Les toiles d'araignées ont été ajouté à main levée. Tous les contours ont été encrés avec de l'encre Archival. 

On corrugated cardboard covered with gesso, I stamped and embossed the cat. I added colour to the corrugation with Neocolor pastels and then I added some texture using my wave stencil. To create depth and dimension to the cat, I added colour with Neocolor pastels. The cobwebs were added by hand. To finish it off, the corrugated ridges and edges were inked with Archival ink.

Fleur de pommier sur carton ondulé - Flowers on corrugated cardboard

Sur du carton ondulé recouvert de gesso, j'ai utilisé des encres Distress Oxides comme base, ensuite j'ai étampé et embossé les fleurs de pommier. La mise en couleur a été effectuée avec les crayons Neocolor en technique aquarelle.

On corrugated cardboard covered with gesso, I used Distress Oxide inks as a base. I stamped and embossed the flowers and colored them with Neocolor crayons used in a watercolor way.

ATC - Feuille - ATC leaf

Sur un carton ondulé recouvert de gesso, j'ai étampé et embossé le motif de feuille pour ensuite effectuer la mise en couleur avec les crayons Neocolor en technique aquarelle.

On corrugated cardstock covered with gesso, I stamped and embossed the leaf stamp and I finished coloring with Neocolor crayons with a watercolor technique.

Étiquette fleurie - Tag

   

Sur une pièce de carton coupée pour former une étiquette et recouverte de gesso, l'image a été étampée et embossée. La mise en couleur s'est faite avec les crayons Neocolor. Les côtés ont été texturés et encrés avec de l'encre Archival noire.

I cut some cardboard to create a tag and covered it with gesso. After I stamped and embossed the image, I colored it with Neocolor crayons and used Archival Ink on the edges.

Étiquette ballerine et vidéo - Tag and videos

Sur un carton ondulé coupé et altéré recouvert de gesso, j'ai tracé le masque de ballerine en premier lieu avec un marqueur et ensuite avec un crayon Versamark et embossé à la poudre claire. La mise en couleur a été effectuée avec les crayons Neocolor que j'ai placé sur vidéo. Bon visionnement !


On corrugated cardboard painted with gesso, I traced the dancer's mask with a marker and again with a Versamark pen so that I could emboss it with clear embossing powder. I added color with Neocolor crayons.  Please enjoy the following videos.

Love is in the Air - L'amour est dans l'air

Love is in the air with Valentine's Day fast approaching. Cassandra here today, with a seasonal LOVE card made using the new 15 Hearts stencil.

L'amour est dans l'air avec la St-Valentin qui approche à grand pas.  Aujourd'hui c'est moi Cassandra qui vous propose une carte pour l'occasion qui utilise le nouveau pochoir 15 petits coeurs.

     Start with a 140 lb cold pressed watercolour paper and apply crackle paste through the stencil. Once crackled and dry, apply the Red Nuance powder with water, brushing the colour around to get it in the crackle cracks. Set aside to dry and cut your patterned paper background (here I used Sophia patterned paper) and black cardstock base. Once watercolour paper has dried, using the Music Sheet stamp, randomly stamp sections with Versamark ink and heat emboss with fine white embossing powder. Be sure to wipe off the crackle heart parts of any emboss powder prior to heat setting. Then, using a permanent fine tipped black marker, faux stitch doodle around all the hearts. Next, distress the edges of both the watercolour piece and patterned paper and ink the edges of the watercolour piece.

Utiliser un papier aquarelle de 140 livres pressé à froid et appliquer à travers le pochoir de la pâte à craquer.  Une fois l'effet désiré et sec, appliquer la poudre Nuance rouge avec de l'eau en faisant pénétrer la couleur dans les craques.  Laisser sécher et couper le papier décoratif pour le fond (ici j'ai utilisé le papier décoratif de Sophia) et un carton noir pour la base. Une fois le papier sec, étamper d'une façon aléatoire l'étampe feuille de musique avec de l'encre Versamark et embosser avec une poudre à embosser blanche (fine).  S'assurer qu'il n'y ait pas de poudre à embosser sur les coeurs avant d'embosser.  Ensuite, avec un marqueur noir permanent (fin), faire une fausse couture autour des coeurs.  Ensuite distresser le contour des deux papiers et encrer le contour du papier aquarelle.

 Assemble the card paper pieces and then add the corrugated letters for the LOVE sentiment in the centre. To add further distressing details, I brushed a little gesso onto the corrugated letters and edged them with a black marker.

    

Assembler les morceaux de paper et ajouter les lettres de carton corrugé pour former le mot LOVE. Pour finir j'ai ajouté un peu de gesso avec un pinceau sur les lettres et ajouter un peu de marqueur noir sur l'extérieur des lettres.

Birds and a fir tree.... / Oiseaux et un sapin

I added some green bister around the tree, and the blue is distress ink!

The tree and birds have been heat embossed with black. 

The base has been made similar to the previous card with the birds.


J'ai ajouté du bister vert autour du sapin et le bleu est de l'encre Distress!
Le sapin et les oiseaux ont été embossés avec de la poudre d'embossage noire.
La base à été crée un peu de la même manière que les cartes avec les oiseaux précédentes.

Favourite Stamp Three Ways / Étampe préférée en trois façons

Have you ever had a stamp that you can use it more than one way? I have just such a stamp which was my natural choice for my August's My Favourite Magenta Stamp challenge project.  Funnily enough, the 3 Butterflies in a Frame stamp was the very first Magenta stamp I ever purchased years ago and I still love it!

Avez-vous déjà eu une étampe que vous pouvez utiliser en plusieurs façons différentes? Moi, j'ai une telle étampe, qui était naturellement mon choix pour le défi Magenta du mois d'août- mon étampe préférée. Ce qui est amusant, c'est que l'étampe des papillons postaux était la toute première étampe Magenta que j'ai acheté il y a de cela plusieurs années et je l'aime toujours autant!

- Achieved the distressed paper look using a paper transfer technique

- Added colour with a variety of gelatos, and I used them with flower stencils and glass bead gel to create the flowers (watch for a future tutorial on these beauties).  

-J'ai réussi a faire de mon papier un look distress en faisant le transfer de papier.

-J'ai ajouté de la couleur avec une variété de gelatos, et je les ai utilisés avec le pochoirs de fleur et un "glass bead gel" pour créer les fleurs (soyez à l’affût d'un prochain tutoriel sur comment faire ces beautés!)

- I used my favourite stamp three different ways:

I used the stamp as is at the bottom and the top of the page along with fussy cutting the butterflies after stamping onto vellum...

J'ai utilisé l'étampe comme telle au bas et au haut de la feuille avec du découpage fussy pour découper les papillons après les avoir étampés sur du vellum...

and I used the outside border with heat emboss powder to create a frame for my photos.

Et j'ai usé les bordures extérieures avec le la poudre d'embossage pour créer un cadre pour mes photos.
