I have to thank Mariëtte for proposing a second ATC swap here on the blog and providing the fun theme of Colours That Make You Happy. I missed out on the first one in the fall and I was excited to get to participate this time around.

I had forgotten how fun, quick and easy it is to make an ATC. Once I started to make one, I just couldn't stop until the next thing I knew, I had made eight.
J'avais oublié à quel point c'est amusant, rapide et facile de créer un ATC. Une fois que j'avais commencé la première, je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de continuer. J'ai fini par en faire huit!

Aujourd'hui, je partage avec vous ces trois ATC...
Bright and cheery, they all share the same colouring technique and the use of photo paper to give that vibrant pop of colour.
Joyeux et clair, ces ATC ont tous été faites avec la même technique de coloration et l'utilisation du papier photo ce qui donne une couleur éclatante.

I altered the solid look of the stamp using stencils. I placed the dots stencil over top of the stamp and then inked it with an emboss dabber bottle. Then stamped and added white emboss powder. Once it is heat set, it acts as a resist to dye based ink. I repeated the same process for the stripes.
J'ai altéré le look solide des étampes en utilisant des pochoirs. J'ai placé le pochoir de dots sur l'étampe et étampé avec une bouteille d'embossage dabber. Ensuite, j'ai étampé et ajouté de la poudre d'embossage blanche. Une fois chauffé, il agit comme un protecteur de l'encre. J'ai refait le même processus pour les rayures.
Then I used a make up sponge and pounced in the bright pink ink until I got the depth of colour and look that I wanted. Using a tissue, I buffed the embossed areas of the heart to remove the ink.
Ensuite, j'ai utilisé une éponge de maquillage et taponné dans l'encre claire rose jusqu'à ce que j'aie la profondeur de couleur que je voulais. Prenant un chiffon, j'ai épongé les parties du cœur embossé pour enlever l'encre.
Next, I doodled using an ultra fine Sharpie marker around the hearts and added two more little ones, inked the edges and then splattered a touch of paint.
Après, j'ai griffonné en utilisant un marqueur Sharpie ultra fin autour du cœur et ajouté deux petits cœurs, encré les coins et éclaboussé un peu de peinture.
While the paint was drying, I inked up a small piece of photo paper with distress ink and stamped the sentiment using StazOn ink. I used a ticket corner punch and then inked the edges before adhering it to the dry ATC.
En attendant que la peinture sèche, j'ai encré un petit morceau de papier photo avec du Distress ink et étampé l'étampe sentiment avec de l'encre StazOn . J'ai poinçonné un billet de coin et encré les coins avant de l'adhérer au ATC séché.

For this ATC, I used satin photo paper and a resist stamp technique. This time instead of heat emboss, I used Liquid Glass.
Pour cet ATC, j'ai utilisé du papier photo satiné et du "resist stamp technique". Cette fois-ci, au lieu de l'embossage, j'ai utilisé du "liquid glass"
I started by masking of the last chevron. Then on a scrap piece of photo paper, I squeezed out some liquid glass and spread it around so that it was a thin layer. You have to be speedy with this one as the product dries quickly. I then stamped into the glaze, removed the mask and then stamped on the ATC. I do not worry if it is a clean well stamped image as I can go back onto the image with the small nozzle of the liquid glass once done stamping. I repeated the stamp process on the opposite side of the ATC and then immediately wiped my stamp with a baby wipe to remove any glaze before it set. Then, I went back and filled in any areas that were not filled.
J'ai commencé par masquer le dernier chevron. Ensuite, sur une retaille de papier photo, j'ai éparpillé du "liquid glass" pour faire une couche fine. Il faut faire vite car ce produit sèche très rapidement. J'ai étampé sur la fine couche, enlevé le masque et étampé sur l'ATC. Je ne m'en fais pas si l'étampe n'est pas étampée parfaitement car je peux toujours le rectifier avec le "liquid glass" une fois terminé. Je répète le processus de l'étampage de l'autre côté de l'ATC et j'essuie immédiatement mon étampe avec une lingette à bébé pour enlever les résidus de l'émail " avant que ça sèche. Ensuite, je fais le tour pour remplir les endroits qui n'ont pas été remplis.
After a few minutes, the glaze is dry and I coloured a third of the ATC with three inks using a makeup sponge and a small circular technique. Once this was done, I used a tissue to buff the chevron areas which will show completely white.
Après quelques minutes, l'émail est sec et je colorie le tiers de l'ATC avec trois encres en utilisant une éponge à maquillage de façon circulaire. Une fois terminé, j'utilise un chiffon pour polir le chevron qui sera complètement blanc.
Lastly, using a black StazOn ink pad, I stamped the sentiment stamp and inked the edges.
Dernièrement, en utilisant de l'encre noire StazOn, j'ai étampé l'étampe de sentiment et encré les coins.

Starting with an ATC sized piece of satin photo paper, I stamped the owls image using StazOn ink. Then I added the purple distress ink starting at the edges. I deepened the colour layer by layer working in towards the image leaving a halo around the owls. Using a cotton swab, I added the beak colour. On a separate strip of photo paper, I stamped the sentiment, cut it apart, inked it and adhered it to the ATC. Lastly, I added glitter glue to the owls' faces and wings and left it to dry.
Pour commencer, en utilisant un morceau de papier photo satiné, j'ai étampé l'image des hiboux en utilisant de l'encre StazOn. Ensuite, j'ai ajouté du Distress ink mauve en commençant par les coins. J'ai approfondi la couleur couche par couche en travaillant vers l'intérieur de l'image, laissant un halo autour des hiboux. Prenant un coton-tige, j'ai mis de la couleur sur les becs. Sur un autre morceau de papier photo, j'ai étampé le sentiment, découpé, encré et adhéré sur l'ATC. Dernièrement, j'ai ajouté des brillants sur les visages et les ailes des hiboux et le fis sécher.
