Hi everyone, last week I made some Christmas cards using metallic watercolour on Black mixed media card this week I've used Pastel Pencils on Black mixed media and Kraft Mixed media card stock.

I stamped the image of the two different baubles in white ink. I left the stamp in my stamp positioner while I coloured the images in pastel pencils and used regular coloured pencils to give some shading. Once I finished colouring the image I put it back into the stamp positioner and restamped it in White ink. To fix the pastels I sprayed both cards with a pastel fixative.

My second card is Pastel Pencils on Kraft card.

Mira'cle Art with Miranda - Art Mira'cle avec Miranda

Hello crafty people,

Miranda here with a monochromatic inspiration and yes again....a circle......I teached this technique on the Art Specially event 2022 and I can't get enough of playing with it.

I worked on Canson Mi-teintes paper which is very suitable for colour and pastel pencils. It is a light weight paper of 160 grs.

I have only used a darker shade colour and pastel pencil and also a white one of both. I like this monochromatic look. I also stamped using a matching ink.

Hi Everyone, it's Christine here with some Sunsets and Skies. I pulled out some of my Magenta scenic stamps to create these cards.

For my first card I created a winter scene with the blue sky trees and deer walking in the snow.

I stamped the tree image, hand drew the horizon with pencil. I then used water soluble chalks (Lyra Polycrayons) to create the sky and using a wet paint brush blended the colours. I added the deer and clouds and used water colour pencils and the chalks to colour the snow and the trees.

For my second card I used the Blue Heron as my image and the Lyra Polycrayons as pastels for the sunset and the water. This time I used my finger to blend the colours and a fixative when I finished

My third card I used oil pastels to create the sunset and the water for the Canada geese. I blended the colours first with my finger then went over it with odorless mineral spirit and a piece of kitchen paper, this really blends the colour into the watercolour paper. 

I hope you liked the three different techniques for creating the sky and sunset for these beautiful stamps.

Miranda here with another creation for you. I have been playing on colored paper which is very suitable for pastel and colored pencils.

I have used the beautiful waterlily stamp and a die cut circle stencil. coloring with color pencils and pastel pencils. Some spattered accents with white acrylic ink.

Super Saturday with Dianne / Les Super Samedis avec Dianne

I'm making Christmas cards early so I'll be finished well before the holidays. I find the holidays are much more fun if I'm not busy making cards.

This background stamp is new to me, although it's been around for awhile.

I wanted to pull out my pan pastels for this image. I took a piece of red cardstock and die cut it to size. I masked off an area for the sentiment and then stamped the background image with Versamark ink.

I sponged gold pan pastel color all over the stamped image and then wiped it off with a swiffer cloth. I stamped the sentiment and embossed with gold embossing powder. The panel was matted with gold cardstock.
