Super Saturday with Dianne / Les Super Samedis avec Dianne

When I saw this new stamp from Magenta, the first thing I thought was that the Sandpiper was looking at his reflection like he though it was a friend there in the water

I lightly colored the background through the stencil TM286 using the colors already on my brushes. I then stamped the bird image with Versafine Clair Acorn ink. Since this ink is a pigment type, I was able to sprinkle gold embossing powder onto just the reflection portion of the image. I used a colored pencil on the belly of the bird. I'm pretty sure no Sandpiper is blue, but I just liked how it looked. I added the sentiment at the top and embossed it in gold.

I adore this cute crow who looks like he is blowing bubbles.

I first took a panel of white cardstock and blended 3 colors of Distress. I put the stencil Fantasy over the panel and pressed a baby wipe to it. The moisture in the openings lifted the ink.

After the panel dried I stamped the Bird Silhouette image with black ink and added the sentiment.

Super Saturday with Dianne / Les Super Samedis avec Dianne

I've been having a lot of fun with stencils lately, and I especially like this wreath. It's beautiful and Spring-like and has plenty of room for a sentiment in the center.

I blended Distress inks through the stencil with brushes, and added a stamped sentiment.

This was a fun and quick card to make. You could use any color and almost any sentiment.

Super Saturday with Dianne / Les Super Samedis avec Dianne

Using just the outer portion of the mask MC48, I blended Distress ink into the opening

I made a circular mask to represent the rising sun, and placed it toward the right of the opening and blended more ink. I then stamped the Miscanthus image with Versamark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder. I added the Beautiful Day image in Onyx Black ink.

Super Saturday with Dianne / Les Super Samedis avec Dianne

Hello everyone, Dianne here! Today I'm posting a card I made for the Magenta Card Exchange. In case you don't know about it, for a couple of years Magenta has been sponsoring a card exchange which is organized by DT member Mariëtte van Leeuwen. It's held over on Facebook at Magenta Style - Passion Studio. If you have not joined that group, you definitely should. It's a great place to share and view cards made with Magenta products.

Here's my card for this month that I got to send to someone in the Netherlands. It's really fun to participate in the card exchange. Several times I have gotten to have really interesting FaceBook Messenger conversations with crafters in other countries that I have sent cards to. One of the things that I have learned is that card-makers and paper crafters all over the world have so much in common. I have met such wonderful people who participate in this craft.

If you are interested in joining the card exchange, it will be taking a break for the Summer and should be starting back up again in the Fall. When it starts up again, Mariëtte will send out a call on the Magenta Style - Passion Studio page. I hope you'll join us!

These are the tools I used to make this card, plus the Magenta Stencil TM277. I blended Distress ink inside the stencil and stamped the Graceful Tri-Petals stamp. I colored inside the petals with Prismacolor pencils. Once I finished the coloring, I put the panel back into my stamp platform and stamped again using Versamark ink. I embossed with gold embossing powder, and then stamped the sentiment and embossed that in gold as well.

Super Saturday with Dianne / Les Super Samedis avec Dianne

I needed a thank you card for a Japanese friend and I made 4 to choose from using different mediums.

For the above card and the next, I used Karin Markers. This card uses Strathmore Toned Blue Mixed Media cardstock and silver embossing powder. The card below uses Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock and gold embossing powder

For the third card I used the Twinkle Tones Shimmer watercolor that Pam Nelson and I made, and Strathmore Gray Toned Mixed Media cardstock

For the last card below I used Zig Kuretake Clean Color markers on Strathmore Toned Tan Mixed Media cardstock

Super Saturday with Dianne / Les Super Samedis avec Dianne

Happy Saturday everyone! This is the time of year that I need Thank You cards, and this is one of my favorite type of card. Magenta has so many beautiful images that go well with a thank you.

This image is from an older stamp called Thinking of You Chickadee. Since it has a built-in sentiment that says "Thinking of You" and I wanted a Thank You card, I just inked the bottom of the stamp and added a beautiful Thank You sentiment designed by Sally Penley.

The background is blended Distress ink, and I added shimmery color to the leaves of the main image with Twinkle Tones shimmering watercolor that Pam Nelson and I made. Since I was just using Neenah Solar White cardstock, I used very little water, which made the paints even more shimmery.

Super Saturday with Dianne / Les Super Samedis avec Dianne

Happy Saturday everyone! I have another Christmas card on Navy cardstock for you. This time I really love how the white embossing pops on the navy. I also love the look of the shimmery watercolors that my friend Pam Nelson and I made.

This beautiful Decorated Christmas Tree is perfect for shimmery watercolors.

I stamped and embossed the Christmas Tree and sentiment in Versamark ink and embossed in white. I then painted each ornament using a variety of colors.

Thanks to the beautiful Christmas Tree stamp, this is a very quick and easy card to make.

Super Saturday with Dianne / Les Super Samedis avec Dianne

Happy Saturday! I made another Christmas card with a bit of a non-traditional background. I really like how colored pencils pop on a dark background

I love this spray of flowers and foliage with Christmas ornaments. I stamped it with white ink onto navy blue cardstock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.

I embossed just the ornaments with gold embossing powder and also gold embossed the sentiment.

Super Saturday with Dianne / Les Super Samedis avec Dianne

Hi Everyone! Here is another Christmas card using one of the beautiful new Magenta images.

I stamped this elegant Christmas Foliage image with Versamark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I colored the image with Zig Clean Color markers and a water brush. I stamped a favorite older Merry Christmas stamp with red ink.

This card was very easy and quick to make, and yet very elegant.
