Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi everyone, I have a stenciled leaf Birthday card for you today.

I place the leaf stencil on some white card stock and masked off the middle with some masking tape. I blended the green and yellow oxide inks then used some texture stamps in the same inks. When I was happy with the stamping I used masking tape to cover the areas I had already blended and did the same with the centre. I used the script stamp with distress Oxide Lost Shadow to add a little detail to the background.

Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi everyone, my card today has these beautiful poppies as the main focal point and the gel print and leaves behind. I created my gel print with by brayering ink on my gel plate, I took my first print on copy paper to remove some of the ink between the stencils then removed the stencil and used my card to take the print. I stamped the leaf sprig and the poppies and coloured in the leaves with watercolour pencils. I stamped the poppies on a separate piece of card sprayed with red and orange mica sprays and fussy cut the poppies. Before gluing them down I used a black pen to run along the edge.

You can see the sparkle on the poppy flowers from the mica sprays.

Ellie's creative Monday / Lundi créatif d'Ellie

I used a colored background to start this card; blue for the water and yellow for the sky.
The stamp is already filled with sky, tree, water, branches and a horizonline. No need to add anything else.
Except of course a sunset. Sponging 2 different yellow inks over the stencil inks gives it some depth.

Hi everyone I have a couple of cards with gift card holders attached.

I used the Tim Holtz Collector die set to make the gift card envelopes.

The bases of both cards were stenciled and stamped, the gift card pockets were decorated with leaf stamps on a geli plate background.

The leaves were coloured with pencils and to add a little depth to the images I added a little shadowing below the leaves.

Card 2 is similar with a maple leaf theme.

Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi everyone, I have golden distressed mixed media card for you today.

I smooshed some distress oxide into the card and spread light molding paste through a small mandala stencil. I stamped the the small leaf stamp in green round the outer edge of the stenciling, sprayed the whole card with a gold mica spray and stamped the leaves again using black. I rubbed a white gold metallic wax over the stenciled area. The leaf was stamped, fussy cut and coloured with pencils. I used a distressing tool to distress the edges and mounted the panel on black textured card.

The card is so sparkly in real life.

Hi Everyone, I have a clean and simple card using the fall leaf twig.

My background is a second generation gelli plate print giving a very soft colour.

I used a temporary tack tape to hold the gelli plate card in position over my card base. Using a stamp positioner I stamped the leaf on the gelli plate layer, removed the card and re-stamped again on the card base. I coloured the leaves using pencils on both layers only colouring the part which would show on the base. I glued both layers matching up the leaf image, I edged the card in black using a sharpie pen and put three Viva Decor pearls on the upper corner.

Ellie's creative Monday / Lundi créatif d'Ellie

Another easy gelli printed background card from me today!

I tore the edges of it.
I stamped some script in the background.
The image was stamped onto tissuepaper, heat embossed with clear and painted white at the back; when dry adhered to the card with decoupage glue.

The sentiment finishes it off.

Hi everyone, I have a clean and simple one layer card for you today.

I stamped the bird and used pencils to colour it in, and then made a mask to cover the image. I placed the mask over the bird and placed the leaf stencil over it. I then used distress inks and blending brushes to lay the colour down. I then placed the star burst stencil over the masked image and the leaf stencil to keep the stenciling within the leaf shape.

I hope you like the effect of layering the stencils.

When I removed the mask from the bird I used a medium gray pencil to create a little bit of shading on the lower edge of the bird to give it a little more depth.

Hi Everyone, I wanted to create something for the fall before all the leaves disappear from the trees.

On one of my walks with dog this week I picked a few of maple leaves off the trees, they were so pretty with a mix of red and green. I place the leaves between two pieces of Mixed Media paper and run it through my die cutting machine using a thin die plate arrangement.

This is what came out when I peeled off the leaves, aren't the colours wonderful. The one on the left is the start of my Leafy card, the one on the right will be used another day.

I smooshed some distress oxide inks into my craft matt, spritzed it with a little water and then applied it to the card using a piece of acetate. The acetate allowed me to place the ink around the pressed leaf images without too much overlap. I then stamped some leaves around the edge using a few different colours of Distress Oxide inks. I stamped a leaf on watercolour paper using Versamark ink, heat embossed it with Platinum Embossing powder and watercoloured it with distress oxide ink.

I cut my plant pressed images into half and kept the second piece a little simpler.

Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi Everyone, I have another couple of gesso stencil cards coloured with distress Oxide inks for you today. The technique is described in this post if you want to take a look.

With this card once I created my stencil image and coloured it with distress oxide inks then stamped the background images using distress oxide inks. The sentiment was stamped on white card cut to size and edged with a black pen.

For my second card in addition to the background stamping I added some white dots using a Posca acrylic paint pen and outlining using a gold glitter pen on the my onion stem image. The sentiment was stamped on white card die cut with a deckled edge die and edged in black.
