Hello Magenta Friends! Cassandra here today sharing a bright fall Zen doodled leaf beauty.

The Doodle Leaf was white heat embossed stamped on watercolour paper multiple times. Then, Distress inks were applied with a distress sponge applicator in oranges and reds. A dampish baby wipe was used to remove excess ink off the white emboss parts. Then, the card was spritzed with water to activate the ink and create blended areas and water spots. The Merci sentiment was stamped twice with Coffee Archival Ink on kraft cardstock and trimmed with twine and jewels.

Resist technique with distress crayons:
The dragonflies are colored in with the crayons and once dry it will resist the waterbased inks when coloring the background.

Une technique de réserve avec des crayons distress:
Les libellules sont mises en couleurs avec les crayons et une fois sec la couleur résistera à la mise en couleur de l'arrière-plan avec des encres à base d'eau.

Added some interest to the background with the star mask and the words to live by stamp in matching colors of the background. Used the mandala dreams stamp as a border and cut strips from the words to live by stamp to add text labels.

Pour ajouter de l'intérêt à l'arrière-plan utilisez le cache d'étoile et un texte avec des couleurs semblables à celles de l'arrière-plan. Utilisez l'étampe de rêves de mandala comme une bordure et découpez des bandes de texte.

Today a card with a Nuance resist technique.

I have applied distress glaze thru the alphabet stencil on watercolor paper. Than added Nuance powders on it and spritz it with water.

The glaze will react as a resist.

Aujourd'hui, une carte avec une technique de résistance Nuance. J'ai appliqué le vernis Distress à travers le pochoir alphabet sur du papier aquarelle. Puis, j'ai ajouté de la poudre Nuance et l'ai vaporisé d'eau. L'émail va réagir comme une réserve.

Added some stamping and stenciling onto the background. On a separate piece of watercolor paper stamped the flowers, colored them with Nuance and cut them out.

Ajout de quelques étampes et pochoirs sur le fond. Sur un morceau séparé de papier aquarelle étampé les fleurs, les colorées avec de la poudre Nuance et les découper.

I've made an ATC to test a technique.. 
1. Cover 2 pieces of cardstock with gesso. Leave to dry.
2. Sponge one of the pieces of cardstock with distress ink. Dry thoroughly!
3. Stamp an image with Versamark and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
4. Tape the second piece of cardstock to the first so it folds the inked and gessoed sides to the inside.
5. Mist the inked one with water.
6. Close the two pieces of cardstock and put it stacked through an embossing machine, like a Big Shot.
7. Now you've got 2 backgrounds with color, the first one has the sponged color trapped under the heat embossing.
8. Mask the image and heat emboss a script in white to finish it off.

J'ai fait une ATC pour tester une technique..

1. Recouvrir de gesso deux morceaux de carton. Laissez sécher.
2. Epongez un des deux cartons avec de l'encre Distress. Sécher complètement.
3. Etampez une image avec du Versamark et embossez avec de la poudre transparente.
4. Mettez les deux morceaux l'un sur l'autre de façon à ce que les images soient l'une en face de l'autre.
5. Vaporisez avec de l'eau le morceau qui a été étampé.
6. Fermez les deux morceaux avec du ruban gommé et passez-les dans une machine à embosser comme la Big Shot.
7. Maintenant vous avec deux arrière-plan avec de la couleur, la première a la couleur emprisonnée sous la poudre à embosser.
8. Masquez l'image et embossez un texte en blanc pour finir.

Bonjour, 

Aujourd'hui, je vous propose 2 cartes avec la technique du resist. 

Sur un papier aquarelle, j'ai dilué plusieurs couleurs aquarelles.
Quand cela a été sec, j'ai posé mes pochoirs et appliqué la VersaMark. J'ai ensuite embossé à chaud avec une poudre transparente. Puis déposé de l'encre distress noir, et essuyé avec un tissus pour retirer l'encre en surplus sur les parties embossées. 

J'ai perforé un papillon. Puis étampé le mot bonjour que j'ai embossé à chaud en blanc.

Today, I propose 2 cards with resist technique.

On a watercolor paper, I diluted several watercolors.

When it was dry, I put down my stencils and applied the VersaMark. I then embossed with a transparent powder. Then deposited black distress ink, and wiped with tissue to remove excess ink on the embossed parts.

I punched a butterfly. Then stamped the word hello and embossed it in white.

Bonjour a tous et toutes! 
Aujourd'hui, une petite page faite avec photo d'un matin où Nestlé, un de mes chats, a voulus faire une partie de cache cache.

Hello everyone!
Today, I am sharing a scrapbook layout of my cat, Nestlé, playing hide-and-seek in the morning.

Sur un papier aquarelle, j'ai embossé à chauds les empreintes du pochoir lettre. Ensuite avec deux encres, j'ai travaillé le fond. J'ai utilisé le pochoir au arabesque baroque pour texturer en ton sur ton le fond. Ensuite j'ai avec de la pâte de structure, fais les empreintes du pochoir chiffre. J'ai étampé le texte en tons sur tons. J'ai disposé la photo et les embellissements et etampé en noir et en gris les divers étampes. 



On watercolour paper, I used heat emboss powder with the letter stencil. Then using two ink colours, I worked the background. I used the Moroccan stencil to further texture the coloured areas. Next, I used structure paste with the number stencil. Then, I stamped the text in similar a similar ink tone to the background colours, arranged the photo and the embellishments and lastly, I stamped in black and gray the various other stamps.

Congratulations Card - Carte de félicitations

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Magenta post.
This time, I decided to make a pretty simple card. Usually, I am more of a Mixed Media artist, but most of the crafters are card makers, so it's obligatory to show the way of doing Magenta cards here and there, even when it's mostly not your usual style.

Cette fois, j'ai décidé de faire une carte assez simple. Habituellement, je suis plus une artiste de techniques mixtes, mais la plupart des artisans sont des créateurs de cartes, il est donc obligatoire de montrer la façon de faire des cartes Magenta ici et là, même si ce n'est généralement pas mon style habituel.

This card was made over kraft cardstock with a thin layer of Magenta Spring Tapestry patterned cardstock as one of the layers to add some colour contrast to the bare Kraft color. The background was made with two Magenta stamps that were stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with bright white embossing powder. The large stamp is the main image and the branches around the card were added as the filler for the background.
Then, I made a kind of paper piecing technique using the very same patterned paper as the stamping paper, but I made it with two layers of paper piecing for the larger flower.

Cette carte a été faite sur du papier kraft avec une fine couche de papier cartonné à motif de tapisserie de printemps Magenta comme l'une des couches pour ajouter un peu de contraste de couleur à la couleur Kraft. Le fond a été fait avec deux étampes Magenta qui ont été étampées et embossées avec de la poudre blanc brillant. L'étampe de fleur est l'image principale et les branches autour de la carte ont été ajoutées en tant que remplissage pour l'arrière-plan.

Ensuite, j'ai fait une sorte de technique de rattache de papier en utilisant le même papier à motifs que celui utilisé pour étamper, mais je l'ai fait avec deux couches de papier pour la plus grande fleur.

The green stamped flower was hand cut and glued directly over the stamped basic white image and then the second pink layer was glued partially over the green one. The sentiment was stamped in the same heat embossed way and added to the card.

La fleur étampée verte a été coupée à la main et collée directement sur l'image blanche de base étampée, puis la deuxième couche rose a été collée partiellement sur la verte. Le sentiment a été embossé et ajouté à la carte.

For some basics on using stencils, I tried all sorts of techniques on ATC's.
Today the sixth one!

Here is how you make this background:
Position your stencil onto your cardstock and dab with white acrylic paint. Sponge with distress inks and stamp a script to finish it off.

J'ai utilisé plusieurs techniques avec des pochoirs.

Voici comment faire ce fond:
Placez le pochoir sur le carton et travaillez avec de la peinture acrylique blanche.  Ajoutez de l'encre Distress à l'aide d'un applicateur mousse et ajoutez les étampes.

For some basics on using stencils, I tried all sorts of techniques on ATC's.

Here is how you make this background:
Paint matte medium on your stencil, print that onto cardstock.
Leave to dry.
Sponge with  different colors of distress inks.
You can choose to add some stamping, a script or so, but I chose to leave it like this.

J'ai utilisé plusieurs techniques avec des pochoirs.

Voici comment faire ce fond:

Appliquer du médium mat sur le pochoir, imprimer sur le carton.
Laisser sécher,
Appliquer plusieurs couleurs d'encre avec une éponge.
Vous pouvez ajouter des étampes, un texte, etc. mais j'ai décidé de laisser mon ATC comme cela.

Baby oil resist stamping... / Technique de résiste avec de l'huile pour bébé

 LOVE the subtle resist when stamping with baby oil!

WARNING - clean your stamp thoroughly after stamping with baby oil!

J'aime beaucoup l'effet subtile d'étamper avec de l'huile pour bébé!
ATTENTION - Nettoyez l'étampe complètement après avoir étampé avec de l'huile pour bébé!

 On most of the ATC's I sponged with various colors of distress ink.

Sur la plupart des ATC j'ai épongé avec plusieurs couleurs d'encres "Distress".

 On this one I used a custom made pearl spray.

Pour celle-ci j'ai utilisé un vaporisateur que j'ai fait avec du "perfect pearl" et de l'eau pour un effet nacré.
