Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi everyone, this week I have some cards with Pearl-Ex Mica powders and these beautiful detailed stamps.

I'm not sure if you are all aware, Pearl-Ex Mica Powders need a binder to hold them to the substrate, when mixed with water the mica powders will wipe off when dry. The binder I used for these cards was Heat and Stick. I stamped the image using Versamark sprinkled Heat and Stick over it, then used the heat gun to melt it. Heat and stick stays tacky after heating and the Pearl-Ex binds to the it leaving a beautiful pearlized image.

On both cards I used two different colours of mica. These cards are really quick to make and have such a beautiful shine.

ATC - St-Valentin - ATC Valentine day

Sur une surface de papier acrylique travaillé avec Nuance et gesso, j'ai étampé et embossé les cœurs que j'ai par la suite mis en couleur avec les crayons Neocolor. et l'aquarelle MicaColor. Pour ajouter de la texture quelques traits et point de crayon Sharpie blanc ont été ajoutés.

On acrylic paper worked with Nuance and gesso, I stamped and embossed the hearts and the quote. I coloured them with Neocolor pen and USArtQuest Mica colours. To add texture, I added some lines with a white Sharpie.

L'oiseau de liège 2 - Cork bird 2

    

Sur une pièce de papier aquarelle travaillée avec Nuance et de la peinture acrylique dorée, j'ai collé un oiseau de liège après l'avoir coloré avec de l'aquarelle MicaColor. J'ai souligné les détails à l'aide de crayons permanents.

For the background, I applied Nuance and gold paint to watercolor paper.  I colored the cork bird with MicaColor watercolor and adhered it to the background (self-adhesive cork).
I used permanent markers to define the cork.

L'oiseau de liège 1 - Cork bird 1

Sur une base de papier aquarelle avec Nuance et peinture acrylique dorée, j'ai collé l'oiseau de liège après la mise en couleur. Pour colorer l'oiseau, j'ai utilisé de la peinture aquarelle MicaColor pour ensuite définir les détails avec des crayons permanents noir et blanc. 

The background is watercolor paper colored with Nuance and golden acrylic paint.  I colored the cork and adhered it to the background. To color the bird I used MicaColor watercolor paint.  I added some white and black with permanent marker to add definition.
