Hi everyone! I’m so
excited to be joining the “Super Saturday” group on the Magenta Blog. I love the new Magenta collection that will
be coming out very soon. The card I’m
sharing with you today features the “3 Poinsettias – 3 Flowers” and “Thank You”
stamps from the new collection. This
poinsettia stamp is so versatile that I’ll be using it all year!
Salut! Je suis tellement heureuse de rejoindre le groupe "Super Saturday" sur le blog Magenta. J'adore la nouvelle collection Magenta qui sortira très prochainement. La carte que je partage avec vous contient les étampes «3 Poinsettias - 3 Flowers» et «Thank You» de la nouvelle collection. Cette étampe de poinsettia est si polyvalente que je vais l'utiliser toute l'année!
To make the background I used Distress Mini Pads to cover a
large acrylic block with splotches of color.
I sprayed it very liberally with water, then put the block, ink side
down on the smooth side of a piece of watercolor paper. I pressed the block to move the ink around over
the whole piece of paper, then set something heavy on top of the acrylic block and
let it sit for a few minutes for the colors to sink into the paper.
Pour faire l'arrière-plan, j'ai utilisé des mini-pads Distress pour recouvrir un grand bloc acrylique avec des taches de couleur. Je l'ai vaporisé très abondamment avec de l'eau, puis posé le bloc, côté encre vers le bas sur le côté lisse d'un morceau de papier aquarelle. J'ai appuyé sur le bloc pour déplacer l'encre sur le morceau de papier, puis j'ai placé quelque chose de lourd sur le bloc acrylique et l'ai laissé reposer pendant quelques minutes pour que les couleurs s'enfoncent dans le papier.
After the paper was thoroughly dry I used the MISTI stamp
positioner to stamp the Poinsettia image with VersaFine Smokey Gray ink. When the ink was dry I colored in the flowers
with Luminance colored pencils. I put the watercolor panel back in the stamp
positioner in the same place and restamped the image plus the “Thank you”
sentiment with VersaMark ink, then embossed with gold embossing powder.
Après que le papier ait été complètement sec, j'ai utilisé le positionneur de tampon MISTI pour tamponner l'image Poinsettia avec de l'encre VersaFine Smokey Gray. Lorsque l'encre était sèche, j'ai coloré les fleurs avec des crayons de couleur Luminance. J'ai replacé le papier aquarelle dans le positionneur au même endroit et retravaillé l'image plus le sentiment "Merci" avec l'encre VersaMark, puis embossé avec de la poudre à embosser dorée.
