Another fall color inspiration! / Une autre inspiration aux couleurs d'automne

I have been experimenting with the Magenta mixed media foam board. It really absorb all the wet layers of paints and inks.

J'ai expérimenté avec les cartons coussinés pour mix média de Magenta. Ils absorbent toutes les couches de peintures et d'encres.


Tip: you need to work on the thick side of the board!
Conseil: vous devez travailler du côté le plus épais du carton!

I first covered the board with a thin layer of gesso and when dry glued pieces of paper with bookbinder glue. Also added a layer of bookbinder glue on top of it.

J'ai d'abord couvert mon carton avec une couche fine de Gesso et ensuite j'ai collé des morceaux de papier avec de la colle "bookbinder". Ensuite j'ai aussi appliquer une couche de colle "bookbinder" sur le dessus.

Once dry I started of with adding distress paints and spritzed it with water to have the paint to blend. Dried the layer with the heat tool and went on to add more distress paints and even distress inks and stopped when I was finally satisfied with the result.

Une fois séché j'ai commencé a ajouter des peintures Distress que j'ai vaporisées avec de l'eau pour que la peinture se mélange un peu. J'ai séché la couche avec un fer chaud et j'ai ajouté plus de peinture Distress et aussi de l'encre Distress et j'ai arrêter lorsque j'ai été satisfaite du résultat.

On the top layer I stamped the Colors and Shapes quote with Archival coffee.

Added the leave from the Boudoir template with Adirondack snow cap ink.

Sur la couche du dessus j'ai étampé la citation "Colors and Shapes" avec de l'encre Archival "coffee". Ajouter le feuillage du pochoir Boudoir avec de l'encre Adirondack "snow cap".

The Maple leave is inked up with different colors of distress inks and spritzed with water before stamping off. Once dry cut it out and inked it up with Versamark and added some layers of UTEE. 

La feuille d'érable a été encrée avec différentes couleurs d'encres Distress et vaporisée avec de l'eau avant d'être étampée. Une fois séchée je l'ai découpée et encrée avec de la Versamark et ajouté quelques couches de UTEE.

This board only measures 3x3 inch, perfect for a little gift.

Ce carton mesure 3x3 pouces, parfait pour un petit cadeau.
