Cette création m'a été inspirée par ma collègue Ellie Knol à la suite d'un article parut sur son blog. J'ai travaillé les Nuances sur une base de papier mix media étampé d'écriture, enduit de Gesso et de pâte de structure appliquée sur pochoirs. On remarque que les Nuances au contact du Gesso perdent de leurs couleurs vibrantes pour devenir beaucoup plus pastel au séchage mais pour ce projet c'est exactement ce que je désirais. Après avoir étampé quelques motifs de fleurs sur mon projet et sur une autre feuille, mis en couleur avec les Nuances et recouvertes de Gesso mélangé avec de l'eau pour atténuer la couleur comme pour mon fond de projet. J'ai assemblé par la suite et collé les fleurs découpées et ajouté la citation.
This creation was inspired by my colleague Ellie Knol after an article appeared on her blog. I started by applying Gesso to mixed media paper, then stamping with script, and applying modeling paste with a stencil. I then applied Nuance colours to the card. We have noticed that once the Nuance powders come in contact with the Gesso, they lose their vibrant colours and become much more pastel looking once dry. This is exactly the look that I wanted for this project. I stamped some flower motifs on my project; I then covered more mixed media paper with Gesso, and coloured with Nuance mixed with water to fade the color. I cut the flowers out and to assemble the card, I adhered the cut out flowers and added the quote.
