Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi everyone it's Christine here with some Alcohol ink backgrounds.
I used silver, blue and green Alcohol inks on a 5X7 cm sheet of Yupo. When the inks dried I sprayed with 99% alcohol to move the colour around, I then cut the sheet in two.

For my first card I used Stazon ink and stamped the images, so simple and so beautiful. Spraying with alcohol after the ink dries gives a great texture effect.

For my second card I used Alcohol lift ink on my stamp which removes the colour and then used a white POSCA acrylic paint pen to re draw the outline. The white really stands out against the background.
One thing I learned was the Alcohol lift ink doesn't work well on the metallic Alcohol ink, the same thing happens with spraying Alcohol. You can see the uniform colour of the silver.

Your images look fantastic over top of the beautiful alcohol ink backgrounds. Especially love the alcohol lift with white outlines. Thanks for the tip about the metallic inks resist.

Gorgeous AI background. Love the colours. Although contrasting, the black stamping with StaZon versus the ink lift white pen derailing are both equally effective. Very inspiring. xx

I love the alcohol ink backgrounds you have made Christine and the black silhouette stamping and the ink lifting and white Posca pen you've used both look fantastic. x

Both are gorgeous alcohol ink backgrounds, Christine! I love the blue/green colors and dreamy patterns. Re-drawing with a POSCA pen is a great idea. It really pops. The frames are so cool too.
