It's so fun to create with new things, especially at this time of year when winter takes so long to leave us.

I used bran new Magenta stamp and stencil for these cards.

And playing with Nuance powders is a nice way to color our days!

On watercolor cardstock I have created a background with Nuance for the card, and I colored as well a second piece of cardstock to stamp more flowers to cut. For the background piece, I intentionally sprinkled different colors for the bottom of the card, to give the impression, later, to place the vase of daffodils on a base.

Only one flower cuts out well, the one on the bottom left, so I stamped it twice on the extra cardstock, and I stamped 3 hearts of flowers, all to be cut afterwards. To stamp just these elements, I simply cut the right size from the sheet for each one and stamped them individually. No waste!

Once the main paper well dry, I stamped off center to the right the daffodil vase.

Taking care not to overlap the stamped drawing, I chose to decorate the background with a stencil floral pattern, like a tapestry. I placed it horizontally and I colored with a foam applicator and an ink pad. I first took a blue tone for the bottom part. Then I replaced the stencil leaving the width of the border between the blue part and the next, colored brick tone. I had to move the stencil again to repeat it all over the top, but without leaving more space than the lines between the flowers.

I then colored all the elements stamped with colored pencils, favoring white to give light here and there, and roundness to the flower pot. I cut out the flowers and hearts of extra flowers, giving them a little curl.

I outlined certain elements black, like stencil patterns, and decorated the flower pot.

I finally glued the background cardstock to the card, then I added the flowers with 3-D dots to raise them slightly.

Essayez-le en différentes couleurs.
Try it in different colors.
