Hello Magenta friends! Cassandra here today sharing this Spring Blooms Thank You card created using a watercolour stamping technique. A silhouette type of stamp is ideal stamp for this watercolour technique and you can see how the colour moved beautifully in a variety of unique ways with each watercolour stamping of the image.
To begin, I placed a 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" piece of 118 lb cold press watercolour paper in a MISTI and black heat emboss stamped the Thank You sentiment into the centre of the card. Next, I positioned the Spring Blooms stamp in a spot along the top working around the embossed sentiment. Then, I coloured the stamp image's leaves and stems directly with Light Green and Green Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Next, I misted the stamp with a few spritzes of water before stamping it onto the watercolour paper. After cleaning off the stamp, I repeated the same steps using Cobalt Blue and Blue on the flowers and blooms. Then, I repositioned the stamp again and repeated the steps a bunch of other times until I had created many flowers along the top of the card. Once dry, I matted the panel on a black card base and added some finishing touches with turquoise glitter glue to the flowers.
