Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi it's Christine here at Magenta with a beautifully soft Gelli print background and these gorgeous apple blossom from the new release of stamps.

I used Dye inks (Ranger Distress and Distress oxide) on a gelli plate for the background. You can apply the colour in two ways, either ink pad direct to gelli plate or use the brayer on the pad and pick up the colours one at a time. Remember to blend the colours with the brayer on the plate once you have all your colours down to remove any lines.

Next ink up your stamp with more dye ink (I used Black Soot), and stamp the gelli plate to transfer the ink. Place your card on the gelli plate rub the whole surface so it makes full contact to pick up all the ink.

J'ai utilisé des encres Distress et Distress oxyde sur une plaque de gelli pour l'arrière-plan. Vous pouvez appliquer la couleur de deux manières: encrer directement sur une plaque gelli au moyen du tampon encreur ou utiliser le brayer sur le tampon et relever les couleurs une par une. N'oubliez pas de mélanger les couleurs avec le brayer sur la plaque une fois que vous avez toutes vos couleurs en bas pour supprimer les lignes. 

Encrez ensuite l'étampe avec plus d’encre (j’ai utilisé "Black Soot") et étampez la plaque gelli pour transférer l’encre. Placez votre carte sur la plaque gelli, frottez-la sur toute la surface pour qu’elle prenne contact avec l’encre.

I used my Prismacolor pencils to add a touch of colour to the flowers and the branches.

J'ai utilisé mes crayons Prismacolor pour ajouter une touche de couleur sur les fleurs et les branches.

This is another example of just using the stamp on the background and no additional colouring.
