Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi Everyone, I've been playing with some stencils and I wanted to show you three different techniques.
My first card is a very simple background with 3 distress Distress inks blended to create the background.

My second card has a clear gel medium spread over the stencil and three types of Emerald Creek embossing powders poured over. The embossing powder will stick to the wet gel medium, I heat embossed once the gel had set. If you heat emboss before the gel sets it can cause some bubbling the gel.  This just gives a different effect. Why not try it both ways.

My third card has two distress inks blended over the the stencil and glass bead gel over the ink blending. You will need to wash the stencil between using the distress inks and the gel. Glass bead embedded in the gel give a beautiful texture and sparkle to the stencilling.

Wow, all three stenciled cards are gorgeous, Christine! The stenciled image is so crisp on the first card. Love the mature color combo in the background. The gel and the embossing powder stenciling gives you an interesting effect! The blend of the colors are so cool. I love it. I bought Emerald Creek embossing powder recently, so I'd love to try this technique with the EB power and gel. The glass bead gel over the ink blending looks like yummy candy! I haven't had a good result with glass bead gel yet, but you made me feel like trying stenciling with it. Thanks for your inspiration!
