Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi everyone, it's Christine here with alcohol ink background for this beautiful tree stamp. I used Rangers Silver Alcohol ink card stock and created a sky and hill scene for my background by adding 99% alcohol to move the inks around.
I then used a paint brush to add more alcohol ink colour to the scene. When you use a fine point brush, you just drop dots of colour on the background.
Once the ink was dried I stamped my tree image using Versafine Clair black and heat embossed it in clear embossing powder.

Here is a close up of the dots.
Voici un gros-plan.

I love your scene using alcohol inks Christine, and with a nod to pointilism, and the heat embossed black winter trees look perfect over the top. Gorgeous! x

Wow, what a creative and unique technique! Love the look of that background. Who but you would have thought to use a fine brush to create the pointillism effect. Never heard of Ranger silver cardstock either so I need to get up there and shop with you too. The stamp is magnificent. Gorgeous card.
