Treats on Tuesday with Christine -La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi there, it's Christine here at Magenta, today I have a cling  wrap background with some stamping and I cut out the new butterfly stencil.
If you have never tried a cling wrap background check out the tutorial over at Split Coast Stampers. I used watercolours for mine, but any water based colour will work including Nuance powders. I also used a coated card rather than regular card, the water sits on the surface a little better to give those wonderful cling wrap lines.

Once the background was dry I removed the cling wrap and stamped my images. I added more watercolour to the flowers and a touch of  white and yellow acrylic pen to the flowers.  I stencilled the butterfly main image and then used the mask to create the body, to give even more dimension I added some sparkly gel paste to the pink areas by replacing the mask inside the stencil. I cut out the butterfly and used a black pen along the outer edge.

Striking card, Christine. There’s so much texture already with the cling wrap background and then it’s enhanced with beautiful stamps, watercoloring and stencilling. xx

You're so good at the cling wrap technique, Christine! The background is amazing. Adding watercolor and acrylic pen to the flowers made the images stand out, and the black pen to the beautiful butterfly gave a finished look. Awesome card!
