Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi Everyone, it's Christine here playing with some shrink film and Magenta stamps. I'll let you into a secret, I've had this shrink film for years and this is the first time I've used it.
I had some snippets of brayered backgrounds using acrylic paint from a previous project which were just big enough to use as focal point on some Clean and Simple Cards.
I stamped the dragonfly and flower crescent on Ranger Shrink film using Stazon ink and coloured the them from the back using alcohol markers. I then fussy cut the images. The border doesn't have to be too perfect because it will shrink.

When you heat up the shrink film it shrinks and curls but  then magically flattens out into a hard plastic card ornament. This pretty dragonfly was 10.5 cm at it's largest diameter when stamped and then shrunk to 4.5 cm so you have an object which is about 45% of it's original size. I used a strong sticky tape to hold it in place.

For my second card I used a slightly larger snippet of brayered background and stamped it with the delicate leaves stamp and then placed the flower crescent on top.

Both of these are gorgeous! Great use of the snippets of background! Especially love the dragonfly one - it shrunk up to the perfect size for the piece of background and it's such a lovely colour.

Two Gorgeous cards using your shrink plastic and stamped Magenta images, Christine. I just did a BIG purge and I think I got rid of all all my shrink plastic. I might have saved 1 or 2, but don't think so. I have had for at least 15 years and only used once for a class. LOVE your dragonfly and flowers. Your stamped backgrounds are perfect too. TFS my friend. Hugs...

Both cards are fabulous, Christine! The brayered backgrounds are so beautiful, first of all, and "shrink film"? I have never used it. I'm so intrigued about it. The dragonfly and the flowers are so pretty, and I love the translucent colors!
