Hi Everyone, it's Christine here with a card I made for the September
card exchange organized by Mariette. My card was sent to Anne and now
that she has received it I can post the pictures.
I started with a background which had in my stash which is a glossy spray and a stencilled gelli print. I wanted a grungy distressed look so I stamped the urban alphabet background and a script in green archival ink. The Create sentiment was stamped in Versafine Claire and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
The flower is the Icelandic poppy which I coloured using Alcohol pens and added some detail with coloured pencils. I fussy cut the single flower out of the stamp, just cutting a part of stamp is a great way to stretch your stamps and give the a totally different look.

AMAZING card with so many wonderful elements Christine! Great layering of prints and stamps. Your icelantic poppy is gorgeous and bright --- it pops off the soft background.

Beautiful background - love the way the colours from the gelli print show through the green stamping. And a beautiful richly coloured poppy too.
