For today’s card I decided to layer two stencils, Wavy
Texture and Maple Leaf Trio. I began by
taping the Wavy Texture stencil to a piece of white, 110# cardstock that
measured 4 ¼” x 5 ½”. I applied Antique
Linen Distress Oxide ink through the stencil and set it aside to dry. Next, I stamped the sentiment in the lower
right corner using Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink, and embossed with clear
embossing powder.
I placed the Maple Leaf stencil on top of the cardstock so
that one of the leaves was in a corner.
I used blending brushes to apply various Distress Oxide inks such as Mowed Lawn, Crushed Olive, Fired Brick, and Wild Honey. Before removing the stencil I stamped the leaf with a corner of the Water Drops stamp using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. I removed the Stencil, then embossed the leaf with Iridescent Sparkle
embossing powder. I moved the stencil
and repeated the process several times. After
I added all the leaves, I used the corner of the Water Drop stamp in several of
the blank areas of the background for a bit of added interest.
I cut the image down to 3 ¾” x 5” and assembled the card.
