Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi Everyone, it's Christine here with a mixed media background and stamping on acetate.

I took some mixed media card and sprayed it with Distress inks, when it was dry I smooshed with with Distress oxide inks heat drying between the layers. I stenciled some crackle paste over the background and sprinkled some Distress glaze embossing powder over the crackle paste then put it aside to dry once dry I melted the embossing powder with a heat gun.

If you heat wet crackle paste it bubbles and it doesn't crack, if you wait for crackle paste to dry before heating the glaze powders the cracks are visible.

The lower part of the card was embossed with a 3d embossing folder to give the deeply etched image and then sponged with distress oxide inks and pewter gilding wax.
The bird was stamped on acetate with Black Stazon and coloured with Posca acrylic paint pens from the back.

The acetate makes the bird look almost three dimensional over the mixed media background.
