Hello Magenta Friends! Cassandra here today sharing a pair of Valentine slimline cards.
Both cards, started with custom cardstock base, 6" in length and then width was determined by the stencil design, in this case 2 3/4" and 3 1/4". Using some painter's tape to secure the stencil in place, the hearts were inked with different combinations of Distress ink for an Ombre effect. The single column hearts have Spun Sugar Distress ink for top third, Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink for the middle third and then Festive Berries from the bottom, all blended with a small blending brush. On the two heart column card, only the Distress Oxide inks where used and then water splattered and lifted to add a distressed effect. Once the inks were dry, the stencil was placed slightly offset to the left and a glitter pen was used to trace the hearts. On the single column, it was a Stardust Gelly pen and a gold glitter gel pen on the right. Additionally on the double column card, I then hand drew a messy line to give the hearts a doodled look. The With Love sentiment was stamped with Delicata Gold ink on the left and Black Soot Archival ink on the right with both being covered with clear heat emboss powder and heat set. I used a glue stick and gold foil to add a distressed gold border on the right. Both had tiny Moonshine sequins added to finish them off.
