Welcome back to Magenta Super Saturday! It’s time to start making Valentine’s cards at my house and today I have a very quick an easy one. It features two of my favorite Magenta stamps, the Heart Tapestry and “Love Makes the World Go Round.”
I cut a piece of 110# white cardstock to measure 4” x 5 ½”. I placed it in my stamp positioner, then
positioned the heart stamp in the upper left corner of the cardstock. I inked the stamp with two shades of pigment
ink and stamped the image. I slid the
cardstock up (without moving the stamp) about 2 1/8”. I cleaned the stamp, reinked and stamped the
second heart image. I repeated the same
process a third time, then embossed the images with clear embossing
powder. I stamped the sentiment and
embossed it with clear embossing powder also.
I had originally planned something more elaborate for this
card like ink smooshing with Distress Inks or trimming the strip of hearts and
matting it on a strip of gold cardstock and then adding it onto another piece of cardstock where the sentiment was stamped. However, after I finished the
embossing, I decided that I liked the simplicity of the card and decided to stop. I matted the card, adhered it to an A2 card, then
added a few gems for a bit of sparkle.
This turned out to be a very quick card.
Thanks for visiting the Magenta blog today.

I've always loved the heart tapestry stamp; I like the way you combined ink colors on the stamp.
