Savvy Creations with Cassandra / Créations avisées avec Cassandra

Hello Magenta Friends! Cassandra here today. I don't know about you but I could do with a touch of spring so I created a spring inspired floral mixed media card to share with you this month.

I started with Golden's Qor watercolor Cold Press Ground paste and spread it on a craft mat. Once it had set up a bit, i stamped into it with the Poppies stamp. Once dry, I coloured the flowers with Pink and Golden Yellow Nuance powders, the stems with Grass Green and the background with Turquoise Nuance powder. While that was drying, I heat embossed stamped the Water Your Soul with Love sentiment on vellum and distressed the edges. I cut pieces of patterned paper to cover a 6 1/4 x 4 1/4" card base and distressed them it. To finish it off, i glued all the pieces down.
