Lorsque l’on crée un fond de carte sur papier aquarelle avec des poudres Nuance très foncées, comme c’est le cas ici, il y a peu de façons d’ajouter de la couleur qui se voit bien à un motif étampé. Deux manières sont illustrées ici. Les feuillages sont coloriés aux crayons de couleur suffisamment gras pour couvrir le fond. Et les fleurs, elles, sont d’abord déteintes avec un peu d’eau de Javel appliquée avec un coton-tige. Une fois bien sec, j’ai ajouté quelques touches de crayon blanc ou très pâle pour nuancer chaque fleur. Et j’ai tracé quelques fleurs au crayon ici et là, ainsi qu’une bordure fantaisiste au marqueur noir.
When creating a card background on watercolor cardstock with very dark Nuance powders, as is the case here, there are few ways to add color to a stamped image. Two ways are illustrated here. The foliage are colored with colored pencils are waxy enough to cover the background. And the flowers, they are first whitened with a little bleach applied with a cotton swab. Once dry, I added some white or very pale pencil to enhance each flower. And I traced some pencil flowers here and there, and a fanciful black marker border.
Une fois tout mis en couleur, j’ai pensé au montage de la carte. Je l’ai d’abord essayée telle quelle, sur une carte blanche. Cependant, la composition des fleurs étampées ne me satisfaisant pas complètement, j’ai décidé d’en faire deux cartes plutôt qu’une, en coupant en deux mon motif.
Once everything put in color, I thought about the layout of the card. I first tried as such, on a white card. However, as the composition of stamped flowers did not satisfy me completely, I decided to make two cards rather than one, by cutting my motif in two.
Quelques lisières de papier de couleur et des étampes complètent le montage du petit morceau. Et un carton de couleur vive rehausse la carte carrée.
