Hi Everyone, it's Christine here with some acrylic block and Gelli plate plate print backgrounds for these great stamps.
After trying with both m acrylic block and my gelli plate in my stamp positioner I think I like the acrylic block print better, I love the more fluid effect.
.
To create the print swipe your ink pad over the surface of the block or gelli plate, then spritz with water and placed the block/gelli plate on the mixed media card stock. I love the way the colour puddles and the colours run into each other with the acrylic block. I outlined my sentiments with a black brush pen by running the pen along the edge.
Card number 1 and 2 are made using an acrylic block, card 3 is a small gelli plate.
Card 1 I stamped the leaf image using Distress inks and pulled the colour in with a wet brush, then re-stamped the image so it was a little crisper.
Card 2 I did the same adding some stenciling to the background.
Card 3 was made using a Gelli plate, I just swiped the colours and then spritzed with water.
I coloured the leaves with pencils and then re stamped. I masked the edge of the background and stamped the script in green.

Fabulous inspiration and three unique and striking cards Christine x.
I love that look of swiping and spritzing and the way the colors join together. The Gelli plate gave such a smooth look that is beautiful. Three great cards, Christine.
Loved reading your detailed description on how you created your 3 mixed media cards. Your backgrounds were beautiful using your acrylic block and gelli plate watercolor techniques. You have me inspired, Christine..as always:-) Wonderful stamps and stencils by Magenta! TFS Love and hugs...Nancy
Awesome backgrounds and beautiful leaves!
Three great cards with fabulous backgrounds. You know how much I love bird stamps so needless to say, the second card is my favourite. I love not just the bird, but also the notebook die with the torn black cs behind it.
AMAZING cards, love them all, love the colours and designs. xx
These are all beautiful. I do like the results from the blocks, too… better blending and movement.
