Hi Everyone, it's Christine here with the new Butterfly background and bird.
I used Simon Hurley Stamping foam with the Tim Holtz 3D texture fades Mechanical Embossing folder to create the yellow and green Distress Oxide background. I pressed the folder into the heated foam and used it as a stamp. I then stamped the butterfly background in Distress ink (Villainous Potion), the distressed look of the butterflies is so pretty. The bird was stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturn and heat embossed with clear embossing powder so that it really stood out against the busy background.
In this image if you look carefully you can see the mechanical gears of the embossing folder behind the butterflies and the shine of the heat embossing on the bird.

Love love love that background with the stunning colours and black bird. x
What a great technique to use the embossing folder as a stamp! Lots of interest in the background and the embossed bird stands out beautifully!
I am in awe of that background. Stamping foam is new to me but how cool this is. Great card, Christine.
Fabulous use of the stamping foam to create your background with the embossing folder! Love the colours you used.
