Hi Everyone, it's Christine here with a tree surrounded by mixed media.
The background is a gelli print from my stash with a torn book page in the corners glued down with matt medium. The colours were muted by using watered down gesso. I added some distress stamping in the background and then stamped the tree using Versafine Clair ink. The flower and leaves were coloured using distress oxide inks and a small blending brush. When I finished the colouring I cleaned the stencil and put it back in place and spread glass bead medium over the image.
I added a little ink with an alcohol pen where I stamped over the torn paper transitions as the stamp didn't give a clean image.

What a wonderful mix of techniques to make this card! So much texture and interest!
Oh my..Love all your mixed media elements and layering for your beautiful dimensional card design, Christine. TFS the close up of your gel beads and description of how you stenciled and watercolored your flower in the corner. Beautiful stamped tree over all your mixed media elements too. TFS my friend. Hugs...Nancy
Great gelli print, wonderful mixed media elements! Love the tree you used as a focal point!
That tree is awesome, so stark but comes to life with the stenciling on the card. The shine from glass beads looks lovely.
So cool, Christine. It all starts with the fabulous gelli print background. LOVE your wind blown tree image ... it's really beautiful. The corner stenciling is so pretty and adds some lovely brightness to your card. The glass bead gel on top adds texture and sparkle. LOVE IT!
Wonderful mixed media background and a beautiful tree, Christine! The sparkle of the glass bead gel flowers is so pretty!
