J’ai toujours plus de difficultés à créer des cartes masculines. Celle-ci pourrait aussi servir pour souhaiter un bon voyage à quelqu’un.
Elle est toute simple, tout est imprimé en brun sur papier cartonné blanc.
J’ai d’abord collé une lisière plus étroite de papier brun sur la gauche de la carte (en laissant une fine bordure blanche à gauche). Sur cette lisière j’ai collé une bordure blanche étampée d’une répétition du motif architectural.
Le galion est imprimé puis collé sur un papier brun un peu plus grand. Ce montage est collé à son tour, décollé vers la droite de la carte.
La rose des vents est étampée sur un cercle blanc, rehaussée de crayon de couleur, d’encre et de marqueurs noir, or et argent. Ce cercle est à son tour collé sur un demi-cercle de papier or. En fait, j’avais fait quelques cartes comme celle-ci et il me restait un morceau or, mais pas assez pour un cercle complet. J’ai trouvé amusant d’utiliser ce morceau, car finalement, cela donne un aspect de globe terrestre.
La rose des vents est aussi étampée en beige pâle sur un petit carton blanc. Le texte est normalement sur une seule ligne, mais je n’avais pas l’espace pour le faire, donc je l’ai encré en deux temps pour l’imprimer sur deux lignes. Un peu plus difficile, mais ça paraît bien. Une ligne or est tracée autour de ce morceau une fois collé.
I always find it more difficult to create masculine cards. This one could also be used to wish someone a good trip.
It's very simple, everything is printed in brown on white cardstock.
I first glued a strip of brown paper to the left of the card (leaving a thin white border to the left). On this edge I glued a smaller white border stamped with a repetition of the architectural motif.
The galleon is printed and then pasted on a slightly larger brown paper. This is pasted in turn, off-center to the right of the card.
The compass is stamped on a white circle, enhanced with colored pencil, ink and black, gold and silver markers. This circle is in turn glued to a semi-circle of gold paper. In fact, I had made a few cards like this and had a gold piece left, but not enough for a full circle. I found it fun to use this piece, because in the end, it gives a terrestrial globe look.
The compass is also stamped in pale beige on a small white cardstock. The text is normally on one line, but I didn't have the space to do so, so I inked it partly to print it on two lines. A little more difficult, but it looks good. A gold line is drawn around this piece once glued.
