A mini slim line card with a beautiful bird stamp.
Below you will find the detials on how this card has been created
I added two colors of distress oxide inks onto the backside of the stencil. I have used the colors salvaged patina & vintage photo.
Than mist your watercolor paper with a little bit of water. Also mist some water on your colored stencil and place the stencil onto your watercolor paper. Make sure you have a clean kitchen towl so that you can dab up any water what comes up through the stencil. Leave the stencil for a small minute onto your paper so that the ink can soak into your paper. Than carefully lift the stencil and let your background dry up naturally.
When your background is completely dry, you can add some extra color to your background with a blending brush.
Stamp the bird with Versafine Clair black onto a seperate piece of watercolor paper and start coloring the bird. I have used the ZIG aqua markers.
Stamp the branches with Versafine Clair black onto the background.
To add some more detail and color to the background I randomly stamped some text and numbers with Archival ink . I used Archival evergreen bough and black soot.
Both the background and the bird has been covered with microglaze. This gives a protected layer but it also makes your colors more intense.
And at last adhere the bird and text onto the background and onto your base card.
And this is than the final card.
And here a close up of the bird, as he is curved and glued with sisal underneath.
See you until the next creation!
