Hi everyone,
I'm here with another Christmas card for my stash. Christmas will be here before you know it and I really need to get those cards done 😅
For this card I used a homemade circle stencil on Kraft Mixed Media card. I lightly marked the edge of the stencil with a pencil. I stamped the bird image inside using a direct to stamp with markers technique (Tombow Markers). I used some pastel chalk pencils to add a misty white look to the inside of the circle smudging it with my finger. I then used black along the lower portion of the bauble and again smudged using a Q tip to give a little shading and depth to the bauble. I drew in some light reflections, coloured them in white and then added a little Wink of Stella for some sparkle.
I used a T square to add the bauble string with a black fine line pen and hand drew the string attachment.
I blended distress inks around the outside of the Bauble and stamped snowflake and the sentiment, replaced the stencil and splattered the bauble with White Gouache paint thinned down with water. I distressed the edges using a paper distressing tool.

I LOVE the details of this bauble with the sweet bird decorating it!
Beautiful. Your handmade circle stencil made the perfect bauble. I love how you've added depth and dimension with your sponging and adding the highlights really makes an impact. The bird is so sweet snacking on one of those berries. Amazing card Christine!
Wonderful way of doing the bauble - it really has dimension! Love the image of the bird in it and the background text stamping.
Beautiful with so many awesome details! Fabulous job of colouring, drawing and shading.
You make these stamps come alive, Christine!
