Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi everyone, I have this sweet little round bird on a branch for you today.

I created my background by spreading some distress oxide inks. I pressed the inks on my craft mat spritzing them with water and picking up the colour on mixed media card stock drying the colours between each layer. I filled in the gaps using distressed oxide inks spritzed with water on acetate.

I stamped the leaf branch and then the bird in Versafine inks, shady lane for the branch and nocturn for the bird. I stamped the bird on watercolour paper coloured it in with watercolour pencils and fussy cut it out. I trimmed of the the legs as they were stamped on the card base. I edged the fussy cut image using a black pen to hide any imperfections in cutting and then glued it to the card base matching the stamped outline.
