Hello Magenta Friends! Cassandra here today sharing two cards made with stamps from the newest collection.
Both cards started with a piece of kraft cardstock. Then, I used a stamp positioning tool to stamp the Dainty Flowers stamp with white pigment ink multiple times. The Chickadees on Branch birds were stamped with Brushed Corduroy distress ink on white cardstock scraps and then added some ink blending colouring and shading with Antique Linen & Brush Corduroy Distress ink before fussy cutting then out.
On the first card, I put some Sparkle Shimmer Spritz on my glass mat and painted the inside of the flowers for some subtle sparkle and then added some fine splatters over the panel (hard to see in the photo... looks fab in real life). Next, I stamped the sentiment with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink. Then, I distressed the panel edges before adhering it to the white card base. I popped up the fussy cut birdies with left over scraps of cardstock before adhering them to the card front to complete that card.
On the second card, I offset stamped the Dainty flowers with Mowed Lawn Distress ink. Then, I used Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers colour Pencil with a touch of water at the tip to colour and stamp the flowers. For the leaves, I watercoloured them with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. I love how the offsetting by just a smidgen allows the white to show through! Next, I stamped the sentiment with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink. Then, I blended on some Brushed Corduroy Distress ink around the outer edging. Next, I adhered the panel to a card base. lastly, I finished it off by adhering the birds and adding a few tiny jewels
So there you have it, same stamps, same base design, altered colours and details for two different looks.
