Hi everyone, I have a watercolour background for you today.
I sprinkled salt on the watercolour when it when it was wet to create the separation in the colours and crystal shaped edges. When it was dry I splattered some bleache to create the white dots. Once I was happy with my background I stamped the trees in Versafine Clair using two different greens and then stamped the bird. I used bleach to remove a little more colour from the bird and watercoloured it. Bleach removes some of the colour from the ink so I re-stamped the bird to define the outlines. Bleach will remove most of the colour from the background allowing me to use white and light grey for the Chickadee.

I love the look of your trees stamped over your watercolored background! That sweet little chickadee is the icing on the cake. Wonderful card, Christine!
A beautiful card! Thanks for explaining all of your processes. I've never tried splattering with bleach for snow but you got a great effect.
This is a great winter scene Christine with the falling snow against the pretty blue sky and some wonderful tree branches for that sweet little Chickadee to sit on. x
Beautiful card Christine. Love your salt watercoloured background ... it really does add a lot of visual texture. Gorgeous colours with the shades of deep blue and evergreens stamped over top. The chickadee shows up well with bleaching him before adding more black and gray. Awesome card! xx
