The card I made today comes together very fast. I saw this alcohol ink technique on a blog recently but it sounds like it has been around for a while. I really had a lot of fun with it and you can get amazing results very quickly.
To get started I taped the “All Over Stars” stencil to a piece of watercolor paper and stamped all over the paper with VersaMark ink. I removed the stencil and covered the card with White Satin Pearl embossing powder, then heat set it. I applied alcohol ink (Patina, Turquoise, Sailboat and a small amount of Silver Mixative) to a felt applicator along with a generous amount of blending solution. I pounced the color all over the stencil until the whole card front was covered. For a different look, rather than pouncing the color, you can also brush the color in even, back and forth strokes over the card panel.
To finish the card, I stamped and embossed the medium “Thank You” on an oval piece of white cardstock. I used a die to cut an oval from the center of the card panel, then used the same die to cut a piece of silver metallic paper. I assembled the layers and adhered the panel and ovals to the front of an A2 card. stamped and embossed “Thank You” on a piece of white cardstock and then cut it from a smaller oval die.
The only down side to this technique is that it doesn’t photograph well. The camera just can’t pick up all the shine that you get with this technique. I hope you will give it a try to see it in person for yourself.Thanks for visiting my blog. All the best to you in the coming year.
La carte que j'ai faite aujourd'hui est très rapide. J'ai récemment vu cette technique à l'encre à l'alcool sur un blog, mais cela semble être le cas depuis un certain temps. Je me suis vraiment beaucoup amusé avec elle et vous pouvez obtenir des résultats incroyables très rapidement.
Pour commencer, j'ai scotché le pochoir «All Over Stars» sur un morceau de papier pour aquarelle et j'ai appliqué de l'encre VersaMark. J'ai enlevé le pochoir et recouvert la carte de poudre à embosser "White Satin Pearl", puis je l'ai chauffée. J'ai appliqué des encres à l'alcool ("Patina, Turquoise, Sailboat" et une petite quantité de Silver Mixative) sur un applicateur de feutre avec une quantité généreuse de solution de mélange. J'ai appliqué la couleur sur tout le pochoir jusqu'à ce que toute la carte soit colorée. Pour un look différent, vous pouvez également appliquer une couleur sur le panneau de la carte au pinceau.
Pour terminer la carte, j'ai étampé et embossé "Thank you" sur un morceau de papier cartonné blanc et ovale. J'ai utilisé un emporte-pièce pour couper un ovale au centre du panneau de carte, puis le même pour découper un morceau de papier métallique argenté. J'ai assemblé les couches et collé le panneau et les ovales à l'avant d'une carte A2.
Le seul inconvénient de cette technique est qu’elle ne se photographie pas bien. La caméra ne peut tout simplement pas capter toute la brillance que vous obtenez avec cette technique. J'espère que vous allez essayer cette technique.
