Hello Magenta Friends! Cassandra here today with a fall foliage full of beautiful oranges, yellows and reds with a sprinkling of gold.

I used combinations of Distress inks (Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, Barn Door and Crackling Campfire) as I loaded the stamp with ink, stamped it,  and reloaded with ink again & spritzed with water. Next, I used a thin watercolour brush with water and pulled the ink from the edges of the leaves and moved the colour around and into the background spaces. Once that area was dry, I stamped the image again before repositioning it into a new spot on the 4 x 6 " Bristol paper using my MISTI. Then, added ink splatters with the paint brush and gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz splatters with the nozzle straw. Once that was dry, I stamped the sentiment by mixing the Gratitude stamp with the "with" part of the With Sympathy stamp. Lastly, I wrapped the panel with twine, mounted it onto a 4.5 x 6.5" kraft card base, and added a few gold jewels.

Miranda here with an Autumnal blogpost. I love Autumn.......the changing of colors, falling leaves.......sitting by the fire.....I really enjoy the beauty of this season.

I used one of the many Nuance backgrounds which I created earlier in one of my online workshops.

I also used a mandala stencil mask, Versamark and some perfect pearls. Lots of leaf stamps and the beautiful Echinacea stamp.

Here you can clearly see the shine of the perfect pearls gold......

Les beaux dimanches de Nathalie / Nathalie’s Sunny Sundays

Voici deux cartes que j’avais créées il y a plusieurs années et que je viens de retrouver.

Here are two cards that I created several years ago and have just found.

Dans les deux cas j’ai utilisé un des pochoirs du trio de Motifs floraux, celui aux clématites. Dans la première carte, il est colorié 2 fois sur du papier cartonné blanc (encre rehaussée de crayon de couleur), dont une pour découper les fleurs et les reporter sur l’autre en les surélevant avec un adhésif matelassé. Des spirales sont ajoutées ici et là avec un marqueur scintillant.

In both cases I used one of the stencils from the Floral Background trio, the one with clematis. In the first card, it is colored 2 times on white cardstock (enhanced with colored pencil), one of which is to cut out the flowers and transfer them to the other by raising them with a 3D adhesive. Spirals are added here and there with a glitter marker.

Pour la seconde carte, le même pochoir est colorié sur un papier cartonné blanc, à l’encre prune. Une fleur est également coloriée sur un autre morceau blanc pour la découper. Sur ce papier maintenant fleuri, j’ai étampé en noir, dans le bas à droite, une étampe qui représente elle aussi des clématites. Sur un autre morceau blanc je l’ai de nouveau étampée en noir, découpée partiellement pour donner du dynamisme à la composition, puis coloriée d’aquarelle blanc perlé. J’ai assemblé le tout sur du papier également prune. Puis j’ai ajouté la fleur découpée en relief. Enfin j’ai mis des touches de marqueur argent par-ci par-là. Un Washi tape miroitant décore le pli de la carte.

For the second card, the same stencil is colored on white cardstock in plum ink. A flower is also colored on another white piece to cut it out. On this now flowery paper, I stamped in black, in the lower right, a stamp which also represents clematis. On another white piece I stamped it again in black, partially cut it out to give the composition some dynamism, then colored with pearl white watercolor. I put it all together on plum paper. Then I added the cut flower raised with 3D adhesive. Finally I put touches of silver marker here and there. A shimmering Washi tape decorates the fold of the card.

Super Saturday with Pam – Super Samedis avec Pam

Welcome back to Super Saturday.  Today I am using the new Christmas tree stamp from Magenta’s 2021 Holiday release. 

I placed the stamp in my stamp positioner, stamped with VersaFine black ink on a piece of white cardstock, then used colored pencils to color the image.  I returned the stamp to my stamp positioner, stamped with VersaMark Black Onyx ink, and embossed with Judikins Pine Twinkle embossing powder.  I shaded the outer edges around the tree with Distress Tumbled Glass Oxide ink. 

To create the frame, I cut a piece of red linen cardstock and two pieces of 65# white cardstock to 4” x 5 ¼”.  I stacked all three pieces together and cut them with the frame die.  This process ensures all three pieces are cut in the same position.  If the die doesn’t cut through all three pieces of cardstock, lift off the cut layer then just fit the die back into imprint on the next layer, and die cut again.  Glue all three layers together then trim down the stamped image to fit behind the frame.  Glue the frame to the stamped image, then to the front of an A2 card.  To finish I added some Nuvo glitter drops in the background for a bit more sparkle.

Inspirational Friday with Mariëtte / L'inspiration du vendredi avec Mariëtte

Playing with one of the new fall stamps, the beautiful owl.

I started to color my watercolor paper with a combination of distress ink and distress oxide by picking up the ink from the craft sheet. Build up layers of ink by drying the layers in between untill I was happy with the colors.

Stamped the owl with black ink and masked it off so that I was able to stamp  into the background in the same colors as the background to give it more interest. 

The owl is uncolored with bleach.

Les Trésors du Mercredi avec carole / Wednesday's Treasure with Carole

 

Sur un carton format ATC, j'ai travaillé avec les poudres Nuance pour créé mon fond de couleur. J'ai étampé mon arbre avec de l'encre permanente. La mise en couleur a été effectuée avec les marqueurs Tombow. Les contours ont été encrés avec l'encre Distress. La volée d'outardes a été ajouté anisi que le texte étampé sur un carton blanc et collé sur mon projet.

L'ensemble du matériel que j'ai utilisé pour cette création.

Treats on Tuesday with Christine - La gâterie du mardi avec Christine

Hi Everyone, here's another one of the the new releases stamps from Magenta.

The image was stamped on Kraft card stock in Versamark and heat embossed with platinum embossing powder. I used watercolours to colour the image and stenciled the stars in distress oxide inks.

Here's a close up of the ornaments, berries and flowers.

Ce chat au jardin est étampé en encre permanente noire sur du papier glacé (Kromekote). Les couleurs délicates sont appliquées au pinceau mouillé à partir de marqueurs griffonnés sur une surface non poreuse comme un tapis de bricolage ou une assiette de styromousse par exemple. Cela permet de conserver la finesse d’une image détaillée, ce qui est le propre du papier glacé, mais cependant d’ajouter de la couleur façon aquarelle, mais en transparence. Les montage est fait de deux papiers imprimés de fantaisie.

This cat in the garden is stamped in permanent black ink on glossy cardstock (Kromekote). The delicate colors are applied with a wet brush from scribbled markers to a non-porous surface such as a craft sheet or styrofoam plate for example. This allows you to maintain the finesse of a detailed image, which is characteristic of glossy cardstock, adding color like watercolor, but in transparency. The layout is made of two fancy printed papers.

Super Saturday with Dianne / Les Super Samedis avec Dianne

Hello everyone, Dianne here with another one of the beautiful new Christmas stamps. I love poinsettias and also ornaments, so how perfect is this beautiful image.

I stamped the images and embossed in gold onto watercolor cardstock. I then watercolored using Distress ink. So easy, and you could use a wide variety of colors and mediums to color or paint these.
