Hi everyone, I have a brightly coloured Nuance background with some pretty poppies for you today. I sprinkled Orange, Red and Purple Nuance powders on some watercolour card and spritzed it with water. As the colours merge I added more powders in areas where the colours were lighter. When it was dry I stamped the image and removed the colour from the leaves and flowers using bleach. I watercoloured the flowers using zig pens, anywhere the bleach had gone outside the lines I used a zig pen matching the Nuance powder to bring back the colour and blended it with a brush and water. To finish off the background I added some stamp layering and used orange and yellow glitter Posca pen on the centre of the main flower.
I really love how the colours pop in the background.

Love this - great use of bleach to lift the background colour so that you could colour the flowers in wonderful contrasting colours.
Striking and vibrant! Fantastic use of the bleach technique. Beautiful colouring, too.
LOVE the bright colours and beautiful image, Christine. Great work bleaching the flowers. Your card is STUNNING!
