Escape the Everyday/ Échappez au quotidien

Art journaling is a great way to escape the everyday and try something new. It gives a greater freedom to just play and enjoy the process of making art. Cassandra here today sharing an art journal page made with an appropo quote for this page.

Le journal d'art est un moyen d'échapper au quotidien et d'essayer quelque chose de nouveau. Il donne une plus grande liberté pour jouer et apprécier le processus de fabrication de l'art. Cassandra ici aujourd'hui partage une page de journal d'art.

I started my page by washing an area in water, adding some diluted Hot Pink Nuance and then smooching it with a piece of plastic. Once dry, I used the Triangles stencil with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Next, I used Cloudy Sky StazOn to stamp the text part of the Art quote onto the background and then with the Diamond stamp onto tissue paper. Next, I fussy cut the tissue paper diamonds and adhered them to the background with gel medium. Once dry, I watercoloured them with Hot Pink and Golden Yellow Nuance and then used some of each colour to add some splatters. 

J'ai commencé ma page en mouillant une zone dans l'eau, en y ajoutant de la Nuance Rose Chaude diluée puis en la tapotant avec un morceau de plastique. Une fois sec, j'ai utilisé le pochoir Triangles avec Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Ensuite, j'ai utilisé Cloudy Sky StazOn pour étamper la partie texte de la citation Art sur l'arrière-plan et ensuite avec l'étampe Diamond sur du papier de soie. Ensuite, j'ai coupé les diamants de papier de soie et les ai collés à l'arrière-plan avec un gel medium. Une fois sec, je les ai aquarellées avec du Nuancé rose chaud et jaune d'or et ensuite utilisé un peu de chaque couleur pour ajouter des éclaboussures.

Then, I stamped the Butterfly onto a dictionary text page which I had gessoed to lighten it a bit and then added Golden Yellow Nuance for colour. While it was drying, I black heat embossed the Art part of the quote stamp onto the background and the text onto cardstock strips. I adhered some cheesecloth to the page and added the fussy cut butterfly. A few black splatters and the quote strips finished off the page.

 Puis, j'ai étampé le papillon sur une page de texte de dictionnaire que j'avais passer au gesso pour l'éclaircir un peu et ai alors ajouté la couleur jaune d'or pour la couleur. Pendant qu'il séchait, j'ai chauffé la partie Art du sentiment sur le fond et le texte sur des bandes de carton. J'ai collé du coton à fromage et ajouté le papillon. Quelques éclaboussures noires et les bandes de citation ont terminé la page.
